FutureNHS Platform

The MSO workspace on Future NHS hosts a number of tools to support learning from incidents which are uploaded by MSOs for MSOs.

The NHS Patient Safety workspace on Future NHS.hosts a number of resources including repositories of articles and publications relevant to patient safety. Within this workspace there are links to PSIRF training, a discussion forum, presentations and podcasts. There is also a link to LFPSE related useful documents and a Question and Answer document.

HSIB

The HSIB Education programme aims to support a professional approach to healthcare safety investigations, to improve local patient safety investigations in NHS trusts and to encourage the adoption of a just culture approach.  There are a number of courses available which are aimed at NHS staff in health and social care settings who are involved in safety investigations for learning.  The courses are run online and are free of charge to attend for NHS staff in England.

NHS Resolution

There are a number of resources available from NHS Resolution, including videos, animations and reports, which support organisations in using incidents, concerns and disputes as a method for identifying improvement.  This includes resources which may be used locally for training and development purposes, for example an animation explaining Duty of Candour

E Learning for health

The NHS Patient Safety Syllabus training programme is hosted on the elearning for health website. It is an important resource for anyone working in patient safety and is designed to help everyone who works in the NHS take all the necessary steps to ensure patients are safe.

NHS England

NHS England have produced a Just Culture guide which encourages managers to treat staff involved in a patient safety incident in a consistent, constructive and fair way.

Royal Pharmaceutical Society

The Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) have produced professional resources which includes professional standards for the reporting, learning, sharing, taking action and review of incidents.
