NHMC submitted a proposal for the funding of Trust Pharmacy Homecare Teams to NHS England and NHS Clinical Commissioning for consideration. The NHMC hopes that NHSE and NHS CC will support the standardisation of funding for pharmacy teams to manage homecare services across England in the future. The NHMC will work with NHSE and NHS CC to support the implementation of standardised funding and to ensure trusts are providing a high quality of care to patients receiving these services. The attached document gives the background to these proposals, how they have worked in some regions, a model for funding based on a per patient per annum costing and how this can be implemented.
